Over the next nine days we are going to go on this journey together where you will see (and hear!) the story of our album "I Left Home". The album is essentially about my brother and I's decision to completely change our lives, and chase an impossible dream of making it as a band. Story Behind the Song

It was 3 in the morning and I had just had a really nasty fight with my girlfriend of 8 years. Long story short, we broke up. And even amongst all the immense rage and pain I was feeling, I still knew in that moment that it was time to leave my old life. I had been thinking about it for a long time, and there was nothing to keep me there any more. I called up my brother (and bandmate) Steven who was living in a different state asked "hey man, want a roommate?" I packed up my shit and was gone the next day.

"Goodbye" is all about making that difficult decision to just go for it. Yeah you're scared and it feels so uncomfortable, but we all have that voice in our head that tells us the truth. For me, my truth was that I wanted to challenge myself more in life, and to chase an impossible dream. Even if that meant likely failing along the way. I had such a weird feeling of excitement and bitterness when I left, and the song reflects that 💙
