As I said in the "Goodbye" explanation, before I left home, I broke up with my girlfriend of 8 years. That's a long time. The idea of going on a date with a different girl was very weird and... exciting! When I got to the new city of Columbus Ohio, I jumped on the good ole dating apps and quickly found myself having drinks with a girl I hadn't known for more than a day. It was obvious both people felt like lost souls who were guarded, but at the same time were intrigued by the situation. We both understood the dangers of jumping back into "love" with someone we didn't know at all, but we did it anyways. Right or wrong, I felt so alive for the first time in a long time.
